A CHARITABLE TRUST SET – UP POST TSUNAMI – 2004.

Firstly, we wish to extend our heartiest condolence to those tsunami victims, whom were lost their valuable lives and severely affected by the unfortunate sudden nature disaster. The fierce giant waves rose up very high, penetrated into the villages, destroyed and completely washed away the poor people’s belongings and made them to strive hard for their various needs, houses and livelihood. We’re very much worried over those deceased, displaced, unfortunate affected families, students and children. As the result of this sudden nature disaster, the affected families could be more than 500 and their life is seemed to be barren. They’re in the midst of immense worries, mental agonies and have been facing untold difficulties. They’re burden with aqua-phobia, phrenetic state and we the, Community Development Service Workers felt pity on them, Specially on the retarded children and students and made actions to draw a Scheme to overcome their problems by introducing the below mentioned methods and amusement activities to forget their past bitter experience and to make them live like others. We’re successful in introducing these methods among the victims. · Introduction of colorful paints and drawing papers and made the victims to draw beautiful drawings in order to judge their problems and bring out their artists skill, which made them to enjoy themselves. · Introduction of music, dance, singing and various plays among the students and children to make and keep them happy and enjoy. · Introduction of various kinds of sports and games activities to bring about their capabilities and skills in these fields, which made them happy. · Introduction of water sports to eradicate their bitter experience. The children seemed to be enjoying these types of events. · Amusement activities and child – care schemes are much appreciatable. We’ve introduced similar activities among these victimized children and students, including their families and we had remarkable results, such as – happiness, improvements and development in their life. We met several affected adults too and made them to involve into these types of activities and we found better responses among them. We assure that, we can make these affected families to a better satisfactory standard and develop them, if we could introduce these kinds of activities in a large scale with modern equipments and facilities.

We are certain, these affected families could be brought to normal life and develop their ways of livelihood, if these types of activities are taken with much care. We are continuing our services and trying hard to overcome the problems of affected children, students and families at Arugambay Village, which was severely affected and destroyed by the recent tsunami disaster, with the knowledge and experience in singing, dancing and various kinds of stage plays, which I received from United Kingdom and Australia through the help of Sunera Organization, made me to Organize this Child – Care Project with the help my colleagues, whom are very active, devotee minded at Social Services and educated. We’re continuing our services here among various problems and difficulties with limited facilities. Further Made actions to promote various games and sports activities among the victims in order to overcome their worries and agonies. These Psychological activities made them to get rid of their mental and physical stiffness and agonies.

Although, soon after the tsunami various INGO’s arrived here and carried out many types of construction activities. But, none of them has thought of freeing the victims from their mental, heart depressions, which were made them to worry severely, So, Our Child – Care Organization has made remarkable attempts to rectify the needs of these affected victims psychologically and continuing our activities among various hardships. We’re proud, as we are able to succeed at our attempts with limited facilities. Dear Comrades! Well – Wishers! We look forward for your generous helps and assistances towards our Child – Care Organization to facilitate these victims through this project to overcome their various problems, depressions and make them to lead a peace and harmony normal pleasant life without any psychological problems and to be good citizen of this country, please. .
